“We have purchased bulls from Bundaleer Stud over a period of ten years and have been very pleased with the results. They have excellent temperament, and this shows in their progeny.
We have retained many of the heifer calves as breeders and in recent years the steer portion have mostly gone to the Caroona feedlot with excellent results. Last year Caroona purchased the entire drop of steers.
It would have to be said that Bundaleer bulls have helped to upgrade our herd to a very pleasing standard.”

Andrew & Lesley Witts, Pinaroo, Coonabarabran, NSW.

"Blackmoor Proprietors has consistently purchased Bundaleer Stud bulls from the Naracoorte offering since the late seventies. The bulls are chosen for their rich colour, doing abilities and good conformation, which are paramount to the quality and presentation of our shorthorn stock.”

Andrew Lyon, Blackmoor, Kingston, SA.

We have been buying Bundaleer bulls for over 50 years. Their bloodlines have a major influence in our herd.
With a very unreliable average rainfall of 5.5 inches (137mm) we need cattle that can handle a dry spell, respond quickly after a rain and grow out into a saleable animal.
Our heifers must get in calf early, calve without problems and raise a good calf. Ashby females are not pampered, so their cattle have the Shorthorn attributes we want.
Graham, Tom & Matt are good people to deal with and give excellent backup."

Greenfield Family, Billa Kalina Station, Woomera, SA.

Bungullla Shorthorn Stud was founded in 2000 with the purchase of females from Bundaleer.
Their females breed true to type and are renowned for their rich red colours, are good natured, soft, easy doing cattle that are structurally correct, very high in milk, fertility and longevity. We have foundation cows 15 years of age still producing quality progeny.
The back-up support from the Ashby family is second to none.”
